Promoting Black Owned Businesses
I had the pleasure of taking part in a Global Montreal Morning Show segment promoting local Black-owned businesses.
There are so many incredible Black-owned businesses in Montréal, but I’m going to start by introducing you to four female-owned businesses. I hope to do many more of these segments!

The boys and I love playing this multicultural memory-matching game! They have already identified characters that “look like them,” which adds a meaningful layer to our play.
As an Occupational Therapist, I'm always on the lookout for play-based activities that support the development of essential skills for children to engage in their meaningful occupations. Memory-matching games are one of my personal favorites! They promote executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, and prioritization. Additionally, they target working memory, attention, and fine motor skills.
This game also fosters visual perceptual skills like visual attention and memory, as well as important social skills such as turn-taking. All of these are crucial for supporting learning and participation both at school and at home.
They’re in my classroom already. Lovely colours and pictures. They’re a bit thinner than I thought, page length and paper wise, so hopefully they stand the test of my kindergarten students!
What an incredible line of products! I have both plush dolls, the board books, memory match and all the books! Educational, diverse, engaging and beautifully designed/made. I will be buying more!!
