The boys and I love playing this multicultural memory-matching game! They have already identified characters that “look like them,” which adds a meaningful layer to our play.
As an Occupational Therapist, I'm always on the lookout for play-based activities that support the development of essential skills for children to engage in their meaningful occupations. Memory-matching games are one of my personal favorites! They promote executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, and prioritization. Additionally, they target working memory, attention, and fine motor skills.
This game also fosters visual perceptual skills like visual attention and memory, as well as important social skills such as turn-taking. All of these are crucial for supporting learning and participation both at school and at home.
They’re in my classroom already. Lovely colours and pictures. They’re a bit thinner than I thought, page length and paper wise, so hopefully they stand the test of my kindergarten students!

In the video counting from 1-9 on number 9 they show 9 hearts and one of the hearts is the gay flag. You are so sick you need to spread your mental illness to babies? I'm not homophobic I just think you need to wait at least until they turn 12 years old to show them gay content and let the hormones do the rest so they can choose their sexual orientation. Leave the babies alone you trans-age dummies
Amazing Canadian resource!!
